I bought this a year ago to enjoy a summer of climbing. i live in the Adirondack Park of NY, and we have many great trails. I was able to get two great hikes in before my left knee gave out.

The pack has been lightly used, and is practically immaculate.it looks 96% new.

Widely considered on of the greatest packs out there, I can tell you it fit the bill.It is very comfortable and very spacious.

My favorite two aspects.
The load can be easy alternated between your hips and your shoulders, or distributed between both. After 5 miles, its nice to give the shoulders a break, and conversely the hips. Also, the top part of the pack can be easily removed and used as a daypack. It can be worn as a fanny pack, or as I preferred, worn on the back like a messenger bag. Its really nice to hike in, drop the main pack where your camping, and do your day hiking with just the day pack. The daypack is pretty big. I could get all the food I needed, and 3 nalgenes full of water in it.
